I remember when my girls were young, and we did Christmas countdowns every year! Sometimes it was geared more towards family activities. Other times we did Random Acts of Christmas Kindness to tick off the days. There were always lots of Bible readings and crafts!!

For over 20 years December became a time of expectation and excitement.

Regardless of what we did, I think I enjoyed the anticipation as much, if not more, than my girls did. And honestly, this is one thing that I really miss when it comes to being an empty nester.

This year I have been working on keeping my focus on Jesus. One way has been to purposefully do things throughout my day that glorify Him and bring Him pleasure.

So....I was thinking the other day about how much I love the expectation of December and I had an idea!

What if we have an online countdown activity calendar for grownups!! Not just that, but one that points us to our loving, magnificent Savior!!! There will be Bible readings coupled with simple activities that position our gaze on Him!!

Can you think of anything better and more exciting??!!

So, I will post something each day beginning on Sunday, December 3, starting with HOPE!!

The activities won't be anything huge and they won't take a lot of time (unless you want them to) or materials.

But I pray it is four weeks of beautiful and exciting anticipation and a sweet, sacrificial fragrance to our glorious Savior!!!!!!!!!!!
