Three days in and we already have changes!! Ha!!
Seriously though, I think that it will be best if I put out the week's readings and activities each Sunday. So I am going today, to put out our counts for the rest of this week. Then on Sunday, the 10th, I will put out the following week.
So here we go!!
Week 1: HOPE
Day 1: Sunday
Activity
-Read Romans 8:18-25
-Write the word HOPE on a piece of paper. Now taking crayons, colored pencils, markers, or whatever you have outline the word with a different color over and over until you fill up the piece of paper.
-Put your HOPE paper somewhere that you will see it this week and be reminded of the blessing we have of HOPE in Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!
Day 2: Monday
Activity
-Read Zechariah 9:12
-Look up 3 verses that remind you of God's promises and write them on the back of the HOPE art you created yesterday. (use Google if you need help finding some!)
-Be intentional today and put your HOPE in Him and what He promises.
Day 3: Tuesday
Activity
-Read Romans 15:13
-Tell someone about a time in your life that God filled you with His HOPE!!
-Be diligent today in reminding yourself and remembering God's faithfulness in your life and in the lives of others.
Day 4: Wednesday
Activity
-Read Psalm 42:11
-Write a letter to your soul reminding it of who God is and what He has done in your life. You might even include the promises you wrote down on Monday. Put it aside and open it on a day that you need a reminder of who He is!! (This has been a powerful tool that I have used to fight back against anxiety and depression)
-Memorize today's verse to keep it close to your heart!!
Day 5: Thursday
Activity
-Read Psalm 119:14-16
-Listen for at least 10 minutes to scripture being read to you via a Bible app or video.
-Engage your sense of hearing...delight your senses...in His beautiful Word!!
Day 6: Friday
Activity
-Read Psalm 130:7
-Pay it Back... Literally!! Go through a coffee shop or fast-food drive thru and pay for the person's bill that orders behind you.
-Bring a note to have the cashier pass on to the car behind you. On it, write Psalm 130:7.
Day 7: Saturday
Activity
-Read Colossians 1:27
-Go outside and look at the night sky taking in the vast mystery of His creation.
-Be reminded of His beauty and majesty and the HOPE we find in Him!!
My prayer mimics that of Paul in Ephesians 1… I pray that through these writings we all might gain spiritual wisdom and insight so that we can know Him more…love Him more…and serve Him more
